Administration of the school always has a principal and it is my opinion to take your concerns or questions to that person. The principal is the final decision maker for the school. Many times the principal’s assistant will say to take your concerns to another person such as a school social worker/ guidance counselor or if the school has an assistant principal but the support staff usually does not make the final decision the principal does. I usually encourage parents to meet with the principal first and then if you as parents feel comfortable can go to other people. The principal also usually knows most of the situations happening in the school and has had to make the decision or have given the responsibility to a designee.
